What you allow does affect the persons who are dear to you.

Whenever I get a chance to visit families or friends with kids, you could see the desire in them for me to either talk, pray or even declare a word of blessing on their young ones. Many actually get amazed when I tell them, “I HAVE NOT COME HERE FOR THEM, I HAVE ACTUALLY COME HERE FOR YOU.”

“What!”, you could see the reactions on their faces as they’d look back at me in utter disbelief.

“Yes, I have actually come here for you and not for the child.”, I would insist. I then go on to explain to them how what they do as parent matters.

I explain to them how their newly born hasn’t yet gone through anything that they as parents have gone through which affects how they live and think. This newly born will most definitely be a product of the environment that they as parents create.

If you’d create an environment that is full of the fear of God, your child will eventually have to know Jesus and will be safe from all the snares and traps in this world that are as a result of unbelief. Your child will grow up knowing and believing in the WORD OF GOD and will always be used by God right from birth. But if your environment is that of all the sinful pleasures of the world, then such an environment will have an effect on your child’s upbringing and also the people around you. You will be amazed as to how your secret life of pleasure, no matter how hidden it might be, can entice the people so dear to you, who surround you, to such kind of a life.

What you allow matters

In my own personal journey of life, most of the things I have had to struggle and overcome have been as a result of the environment which I was brought up in. The reason i started doing certain things was because i had access to them. An access i had gained from those around me who engaged in such. We have all been born sinners. Whether you participate in the act or not, we all have been born of a bad seed. That seed is not of your mother, father or any of your ancestors, that seed is of Adam who sinned and birthed sin into all flesh. What surrounds us can either be the solution to this sin or the stimulation of it. I generally tell parents that it is not my prayers or blessings that will help keep their child, it is the environment they will create for them that will. GRACE HAS TO BE MIXED WITH FAITH FOR US TO ENTER THE FULLNESS OF GOD.

Christ has always led me to ask parents to first trust God by committing their lives to Him, believing in Jesus Christ and turning their backs on the world. This is the most assured way of securing the future of their children.

I at times wonder why people focus on their ancestors, forefathers and other generations, claiming to be dealing with the root of generational sins or curses, but yet they never go all the way till Adam. When we realise that the root of all sin and curses is Adam, and all we see are a by product of what Adam did, there is then a need to turn to Jesus who was crucified for the sin of the world. The sin that originated from sinful man Adam is conquered by the righteousness that comes from the righteous savior, Jesus.

This message right here is a message of hope, hope for the world, hope for them who feel lost and broken. As it is not your mother or father that sinned, it is Adam who brought sin into the world. It is not you disobedience, it is Adams. All that we do is just participate in what Adam did. Hence the solution for all this is an ETERNAL OBEDIENCE, THE OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST. As long as we believe in Christ’s obedience, we can rest assure embrace His environment and be partakers of His righteousness here on earth, thus eternal life.
